A Thank You to My Village, Near and Far
It’s Monday afternoon, two days after the book launch on Saturday, October 18th, and my heart is still trying to catch up. The wave of messages, photos, and incredibly kind words hasn't stopped. To be honest, I am still processing the immense feeling of it all. To say I am overwhelmed with gratitude would be an understatement.
Seeing so many of you at the launch was a dream I barely let myself imagine. But I know the support for this book extended far beyond that room, and I want to share the story behind the story. What you saw on Saturday was a beautiful, celebratory moment. It was the tip of the iceberg, made visible by your incredible support.
Beneath the surface lies the real journey. It’s a story that began years ago in quiet moments, pieced together word by word. It was built on early mornings before the world was awake, and sustained not by any special fuel, but by the simple discipline of knowing when to push forward and when to step away and rest. It was a path filled with self-doubt, where the thought of this book becoming real felt distant and uncertain.
Though I wrote the words, I was never truly on my own. I’ve learned that a book may have one name on the cover, but it is brought to life by a village.
That village includes my family and friends, whose prayers and well-wishes were a constant source of strength. It includes valued clients who offered their unwavering encouragement and all out support along the way. These were the foundations.
Then came the team that helped shape a messy manuscript into the book you hold today: a patient editor, and everyone who worked behind the scenes.
And finally, there is you. The village grew, and it continues to grow.
The feeling of support on Saturday was electric, but it didn't end when the event was over. It has continued with every online order from those of you who couldn't be there in person. It has echoed in every message from someone who reserved a copy. It is felt in every share, comment, and note of congratulations.
I see now that my village isn't confined to one room; it's a vast, wonderful community that stretches far and wide.
So, this is my thank you. To everyone who showed up, who ordered, who sent a prayer, or who simply wished me well from afar. You were all part of this. You made this dream a reality.
The book is finished, but our story together is just beginning.
I send you all my deepest gratitude.
